WEDNESDAY WONDERS


     Hello, everyone, and welcome to our “Wednesday of WONDER!”  As most of you who are living in the United States already know, it is COLD OUTSIDE!  What do you do to stay warm?  How does it affect your TBI?  Does it trigger headaches, does it make you tired?  Please let me know, I’d love to hear!

 

     The month is almost over, and I am looking forward to warmer weather and getting back on schedule.  And let me tell you, it’s not the easier thing to get back on track.  But I believe in ALL OF YOU, and I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!  Do you use any methods to get back on track?  Do you listen to music to inspire you?  Do you go outside for a walk to inspire you?  Do you exercise to find inspiration?  I usually exercise the first thing in the morning and then I feel better prepared for what the day will bring forth.

     As far as wonders are concerned, I watched a very interesting nature program on BBC America.  They talked about the different lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and the plants and animals that call these places their homes.  It made me take a step back and realize that there is a multitude of wonders in our world, and I forgot I have a TBI.  We can all benefit from taking a little time off from what is inside our heads.

Sunny-Side Up!


     Hello, everyone, and let me congratulate you on making it through another week.  Way to go!

 

     Some days, just making it though is enough.  But sometimes we have to take it a step further.  I didn’t really feel like exercising today, but I have exercised every other day this week, so why not just do it?  I took a nap, exercised, and that resulted in “problem solved!”  I feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally because of this, and I will do my best to carry along with me this feeling so I can recall it when I need to do so.

 

     Sometimes we just need a little push to get moving, and sometimes WE are the pushers.  It seems to work on an even keel, so just keep that in mind.

 

     I also wanted to discuss setting goals.  My goal for 2018 was to read the entire Bible.  I know I have talked about this before, but I wanted to share this again.  I needed to set up a short-term plan for a long-term goal.

     I did some research on the internet and found a site that broke down the different passages and chapters into daily readings.  If you followed the guide, you would finish it in a year.  I did not read the passages every day, because I was either on vacation or not feeling well, or was just not feeling it.  But I knew this was something I really wanted to do, so I made up for the missed readings by reading multiple verses on the same day.

    So, with that said, I want to ENCOURAGE YOU ALL to set some small goals, and I know you will be surprized at how far you will go!

THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY


     Hello, and welcome to our Thoughtful Thursday!  First of all, I thought it was Friday until just a few seconds ago, just so you all know!  I am happy that it’s Thursday, though, becuase “thoughtful” rhymes with “Thursday!”

     When words rhyme, it is a lot easier for me to remember them!  Does the rhyming work for you?  Can you give us any examples?

 

     It has been a good week, with very few lightning bolts in my head and some solid progress made with social security.
