Hi, everyone! How was your weekend? Good, we hope! We had the “Once in a Lifetime” opportunity to see the frontman of “The Talking Heads,” Mr. David Byrne. The show was so exciting and he did songs from his new CD, “American Utopia,” and some from “The Talking Heads” vast musical library. The show was sold out (thanks for getting the tickets, honey!!!!!) and people in all of the sections were standing up and singing along.
As we entered “The Anthem,” we were greeted by some friendly voting people. They took care of almost everything for me to register in the state of Virginia and that was that! They didn’t judge me, or tell me I couldn’t register because I have a traumatic brain injury.
However, I just read a FASCINATING article from NPR about voting rights (or lack of) to people with disabilities. I will try to share it with you here, but it is on the Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group of Duluth-Extension Facebook site.
