Hello, everyone and let’s welcome in our thank-you Thursday! First of all, I want to THANK ALL OF YOU for being a part of my Brain Injury Support Group! I have not met a lot of you in person, but I would love to have that opportunity and the pleasure someday.” o
We are all going through our own “unique” situations at this point in time. I chose the word “unique” because, as many of us know, dealing with doctors, lawyers, medical bills, insurance companies, and other issues can be (and some days actually turn into) all-day issues. It can, it has, it does, and will continue to show up knocking at your door, because that’s life! Will you choose to “open the door” or put on a lock and chain and run away and hide?
“Patience is a virtue,” and we all have to find some time in our busy lives for it. We can only control so much, and it is healthy and healing to give ourselves a friendly reminder every now and then.
I don’t have any control over when I will be called back from my doctors or social security or anyone else, but at least I took the first steps and opened up conversations with these people. Just try the best you can, and, remind yourself that that’s good enough for you!
Thanks for reading this, and thanks for all of your support! God bless you all!
