Hello, and welcome to a TERIFFIC TUESDAY! Today I would like to talk about the “elephant in the room.” I wanted to get the term’s definition so I looked it up online. What MY understanding of it is that it’s an issue or a blatantly offensive behavior. It is something that IS there, but its OBVIOUSE PRESENCE is completely and totally ignored.

Does your TBI make you feel like an elephant?  How many people know that you have a TBI?  Are you embarrassed?  Well, first of all, it’s not your fault.  DO NOT hide in the shadows.  You are a different person, not better, not worse, just different.  Let this “new person: SPEAK UP FOR YOU!  Come out of the fog and shadows and let others know what you think.  You have every right to express your feelings and opinions and they are JUST AS VALUABLE AND IMPORTANT as any one else’s.  I know that most of us “know” this in the backs of our minds, but we have difficulty “proving” it.  Are your doubting yourself or questioning your authority in the world?  DON”T!  If you are at McDonald’s and you want to have a Happy Meal, HAVE IT!  If you want fries with it, get those fries!  You and your body know what you want and need, not anyone or anything else.  So go and do something NICE for yourself today.  Give yourself a treat of YOUR CHOICE!  It’s on me today!  God bless you all!
