Hello, and welcome everyone to “Tough It Out Thursday,” February 1st! I did my tiny bit of “toughing it out” this morning by going an extra minute on our rowing machine. I had a lot of help from Mr. Donny Osmond and his vocals as Joseph in the play “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” The story of the play is based on The Biblical Book of Genesis and the story of Joseph. Maybe you are familiar with this story, maybe not. Joseph had dreams about the future and his brothers find it quite troubling. The storyline of this play is filled with trails and tribulations, but Joseph has FAITH. He believed in his mission, and you can read the rest of this story by yourselves so I don’t give away the ending.

It was not my original intention to give you the synopsis of Joseph’s story, but about musical memory.  I first heard the soundtrack for this play years and years and years ago.  Even though it has been so long, I found myself singing along with most of the songs.  I was able to go backwards and recapture those lyrical memories.  That fact excites me, as I had difficulty recalling what I had for breakfast this morning when asked.  It is one little step forward in regaining my own confidence and self-esteem.  I hope all of you can move forward with high hopes for a weekend made just for YOU!  God bless you!
