Hello, and I hope you are all doing well on this WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY! I want to go back a few days to recap my interesting weekend in D.C. We went to a travel show featuring many different places and cultures. It was so exciting to take part in this and we even went on a virtual reality ride. If you get seasick, I do not recommend it! We took a nice walk back to the Metro and I wanted to share this little history lesson I researched once we got back home.


The first statue we saw was the Samuel Gompers Memorial.  It is a bronze statue and it is also listed in the National Register of Historic places.  You can find it at the intersetion of 10th Street, L Street, and Massachusetts Avenue in Washington.
